What Makes a Speaker Reel Cost More?
Price follows time. These are the five things that change how long a reel takes:
1. How much footage we have to watch
Ten full keynotes take longer to review than one. If you mark your favorite moments first, the job gets faster and your reel gets cheaper.
2. How many events are mixed together
Every event has different cameras, lighting and sound. Making three events look like one polished reel is real work.
3. The condition of the audio
Room echo, a quiet microphone or a noisy crowd all need fixing. Clear audio matters more than sharp video, because organizers listen closely to how you speak.
4. Graphics and versions
Simple titles are included in every package. Custom animation and extra cuts for social media add time.
5. Deadline
Normal turnaround is 5–10 business days. Faster delivery is possible with the rush add-on.
Is Filming Included?
No. We are an editing studio, and that is why our prices are lower than full production companies. If your footage is weak, we will tell you before you pay. For a new recording, a local event videographer typically charges about $1,000–$3,000 per day. Ask them to record clean audio from the microphone and a wide shot that shows the audience. Our guide on how to prepare footage for a speaker reel explains exactly what to ask for.
How to Spend Less Without Getting a Cheap-Looking Reel
- Send original video files, not screen recordings of a livestream.
- List your three best moments with timestamps.
- Collect testimonials and event logos before the edit starts.
- Send all your feedback in one document per revision round.
- Start with the Signature Reel and add social cuts later.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a speaker reel cost?
With existing footage, our speaker reels cost $1,500–$5,000. Across the market, editing-only reels range from about $100 for a basic freelance edit to $5,000 for specialist studio work. Reels that need new filming often cost more than $5,000.
Why choose a specialist studio over a cheaper freelancer?
A freelancer can cut clips together. A specialist studio knows what event organizers and speaker bureaus look for, builds the story around your message and handles audio, color and every cut you need. Our Essential Reel at $1,500 is the starting point.
What is the difference between a speaker sizzle reel and a demo reel?
Most event organizers use the terms the same way. A sizzle reel is usually shorter and faster. A demo reel may include longer clips of you speaking. Our packages cover both. Read more in our speaker demo reel guide.
How long does it take?
5 to 10 business days, depending on the package. Rush delivery in 48 hours is available.
Do you work with speakers outside the United States?
Yes. Most of our clients are in the US, and we also work with speakers in Canada, the UK, Australia and Europe. Everything is handled online.
What if I do not like the first version?
Every package includes revision rounds. We also agree on the story and the key moments before the main edit, so there are few surprises.
